Day 1

Meet in Ottawa in the evening for dinner with your fellow travelers and staff, and a briefing of our tour. Overnight in Ottawa. Dinner included.

Day 2

Morning flight with First Air from Ottawa to Pond Inlet, via Iqaluit. Greeted at the airport and transported to hotel for dinner. Group talk and gear check. Evening spent relaxing or exploring some of the community.

Day 3

Breakfast. Final gear check and lunchtime departure from Pond Inlet by snowmachine and komatik towards Sirmilik National Park, Bylot Island, floe-edge area and Baffin Island. Camping

Days 4 - 8

Exploration of the floe-edge area. Bylot Island, bird cliffs, icebergs, floe-edge and sea ice. Camping.

Day 9

Return journey to Pond Inlet. Dinner and hotel accommodation.

Day 10

Breakfast. Departure from Pond Inlet with First Air to Iqaluit, then to Ottawa.  Dinner. Overnight in Ottawa.

Day 11

Breakfast and depart for home.
